Lumsden Grinding
Ben Bennett's have just bought a state of the art Lumsden Grinding Machine to add to the many other applications we're able to do.
Our new addition to Ben Bennett's, the Lumsden Grinder can provide a precision ground surface finish.
The surface grinder is composed of an abrasive wheel, this wheel rotates in the spindle head which is also adjustable for the height, to which this makes it able to work to very tight tolerances for the width our customers require. The bed of the grinding machine is essentially a big magnet which holds the steel strip in place to make sure it's fully flat when grinding.
We currently have customers who some might prefer the Edge Dressed finish coils and some prefer the Lumsden Ground finish coils.
